Stephanie Pluta Named ACEC-NC Young Professional of the Year
Congratulations to Stephanie Pluta for receiving the 2022 Young Professional of the Year Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of North Carolina.
This award seeks to highlight the accomplishments of young engineers and their resulting impact on the engineering profession.
Stephanie currently serves as the Interim President of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) North Carolina Section, as well as the Operations Manager for the Southeast US Dams and Levees team. Her current focus within is working on civil designs for dams including supporting and leadership roles on the Dog River, Leatherwood Creek 5 and South River 19 projects. She also is managing smaller dam design projects and studies for multiple clients that span across North Carolina.
Stephanie was presented with the award for this achievement by Jim Smith, National Director, and Paul Meehan, National Director, of the ACEC Board at a surprise luncheon held in the Raleigh office on July 14. The surprise was led by Mike Wayts, Tony Grubbs, and Kayla Kassa in combination with the Raleigh Fun Committee team.
Stephanie will also be recognized at ACEC’s 2022 Fall Conference.
