Pannell Named Young Engineer of the Year by TSPE Preston Trail Chapter
Congratulations to Jacob Pannell, Transmission and Utilities, Frisco, for receiving the 2021 Young Engineer of the Year Award from the Preston Trail Chapter of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers.
Jacob has served the Preston Trail chapter since 2016, when he began serving as the Finance Chair. Since that time he has served as the Audit Chair, Mathcounts Chair and Director for two years. Jacob is also active with the Frisco ISD’s Engineering Mentoring program and has served as a mentor to high school seniors on their engineering project for the past three years.
While at Freese and Nichols, Jacob has had the opportunity to work on several exciting projects including NTMWD’s Bois d’Arc Lake Program, where he is serving as the Assistant Construction Manager for over 35-miles of 90-inch pipeline. He also completed the hydraulic design for the Upper Trinity Regional Water District’s (UTRWD) Lake Ralph Hall lake intake and downstream piping and valves. Jacob has prepared and presented papers for Frisco’s Lebanon Lift Station and the Reuse expansion to serve the North Platinum Corridor, a group of mixed-use developments totaling greater than $5 billion.
