Last Chance to Budget For Lead and Copper Rule Compliance Activities

Public water systems have until Oct. 16, 2024 to meet requirements of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Lead and Copper Rule Revisions.

By this date utilities must:

  • Create and submit a service line material inventory
  • Prepare to issue required public notices
  • Have a plan for updated water sampling and response requirements

Freese and Nichols has tools and expertise to quickly support utilities that might have overlooked this mandatory activity in their budget planning this year. We want to make sure our clients have a plan and the budget to prepare for compliance with the new rules.
