Senior Tunnel Geotechnical Engineer/Geologist

Freese and Nichols is searching for a Senior Tunnel Geotechnical Engineer/Geologist with strong technical leadership skills and mentoring experience to grow the firm’s tunneling practice and support the Water Resource Design practice. The position includes providing both consulting and design services on the geotechnical and geologic aspects of tunnel, dams, levels and other water resources and heavy-civil infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have familiarity with geotechnical analysis software (such as GeoStudio, RocScience, PLAXIS, MSEW, PYWALL, APILE, LPILE, gINT) as well as advanced engineering techniques and the modification and extension of engineering theories, precepts, and practices, with an understanding of soil mechanics, and soil-structure interaction.
