Jimmy Gibson Hired to Lead Environmental Services Practice
Please welcome Jimmy Gibson, PE, a nationally experienced environmental services senior manager, who is the new Environmental Practice Leader.
During 27 years in the industry, Jimmy has led teams in solving complex problems for a wide variety of environmental needs, including compliance, auditing, remediation, soil and groundwater assessments, decommissioning and demolition, and site cleanup.
His 18 years of management experience have included leading teams of professional engineers, geologists, scientists and technicians ranging from 50 to more than 800 employees to develop environmental solutions for some of the most difficult environmental projects in Texas and across the United States. That work includes remediation of soil and groundwater for several nationwide commercial retail chains; cleanup of abandoned hazardous waste sites for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality through the Superfund program; and cleanup of obsolete explosives at a federal weapons facility.
“With his broad understanding of the environmental field and clients’ evolving needs, Jimmy can help us provide services to large agencies, including TxDOT and TCEQ, as well as industrial clients,” said Thomas Haster, Chief Development Officer for water. “His skills will enable us to build upon our existing skills to help our clients meet compliance requirements to complete infrastructure projects and achieve their goals.”
Jimmy’s role will include expanding our capabilities to provide full-service environmental consulting services to clients. He has demonstrated ability to provide both short-term solutions and long-term vision that integrates environmental solutions into client’s business needs, providing value beyond complying with regulatory requirements.
He holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University and a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Texas Tech University.
