Freese and Nichols TxDOT CEI Team Paves the Way for An Award-Winning Partnership
Freese and Nichols’ Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) CEI team received the 2023 Texas Quality Asphalt Pavement Award for Outstanding Achievement in Quality Construction of Asphalt Pavement on the US 87 Construction Engineering and Inspection Services project.
In an effort with the TxDOT – San Angelo Area Office and Contractor – Reece Albert, the team successfully executed the rehabilitation and resurfacing of US 87 between south loop 570 to the Concho County line in Tom Green County, which is about 12.9 miles. With the goal of submitting this project for an award, prior to commencement, the expectation for stellar quality control and diligent efforts involved were set forth. This heightened precedent, maintained throughout the duration of the project produced an exemplary project worthy of such an award.
“This award further exemplifies the notion that through effective partnering, we can join forces to provide the highest level of product for the traveling public,” said Jonathan Capps, Construction Manager.
