Freese and Nichols Expands Bridge Services Team, Adds Leadership

Freese and Nichols is pleased to welcome Alisha Elmore, PhD, PE, who joins our Bridge Services team in Fort Worth, TX as a Project Manager. With over 17 years of experience in civil engineering, Alisha specializes in the design, inspection, and evaluation of transportation structures, and has experience in leading teams and facilitating collaboration. Her unique blend of technical skills and social acumen makes her an excellent addition to help lead the emerging Bridge Services team.

In her new role, Alisha will play a key part in leading our Bridge Services team, focusing on innovative solutions that align with client expectations and project requirements. Her responsibilities will include working closely with clients on project delivery, developing multi-discipline contract documents and coordinating all aspects of project design for bridge projects. Alisha will also guide our project teams to ensure successful project outcomes for regional and statewide clients, maintaining high standards for quality, technical specifications, schedules and budget constraints.

“Alisha’s extensive experience and proven track record in managing large-scale infrastructure projects will be invaluable as we continue to grow and expand our services,” Structural Group Manager Misty Thomison said. “Her ability to lead and inspire her team will undoubtedly contribute to our ongoing success.”

Alisha’s impressive project experience includes serving as recovery manager for major bridge replacement projects, bridge engineering manager for large-scale infrastructure projects, railroad structures maintenance and capital improvement manager, and transit rail station resident construction manager. Alisha has demonstrated exceptional skills in managing complex projects, coordinating with multiple stakeholders and ensuring compliance with plans and specifications.

Alisha holds a PhD in civil engineering from the University of Kansas, a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a bachelor’s degree in biological and agricultural systems engineering from Florida A&M University. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas and a member of the Transportation Research Board (TRB), the Infrastructure Advancement Institute (IAI), the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), the Community of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO), and the Project Management Institute.
