Freese and Nichols Earns Spot in Top 100 Internship Programs List
Freese and Nichols placed in WayUp and Yello’s Top 100 Internship Programs List for 2023. This marked the first year we earned a spot on the list and the third year to be nominated.
The evaluation was based 30% on public votes and 70% on an expert panel’s review of applications. 
This recognition is confirmation that we are building upon an excellent legacy of years of internships. An internship at Freese and Nichols has evolved as a recruiting exercise for potential new graduate talent.
This year, we welcomed more than 90 interns from 44 schools across 17 states, districts and provinces. They spent the summer learning skills across our many practice areas, doing real work for clients.
To our class of ’23, thank you for making your mark.

Abigail Kubin, Transmission and Utilities, Dallas, made WayUp’s Top 100 Interns List of 2023.
She is a rising junior studying mechanical engineering at the University of Tennessee in Martin.
“I was incredibly humbled when I found out I was named to the Top 100 Interns List among thousands of talented and well-deserving interns across the country,” she exclaims. “I have my Transmission and Utilities East – 1153 team to thank for their support in spreading the word and their votes. I could not have done it without them!”
Abigail’s supervisor, Amanda Powers, Transmission and Utilities, Dallas, shares she has exemplified two of our LEADS Values: Learn Continuously and Serve Always.
“Abigail has taken every challenge head-on and has gone the extra mile to make sure she understands the task at hand,” Amanda says. “She has been very thoughtful in how she can improve or better any task/process we’ve given her.”
