Texas Municipal League Spotlights Texas Flood Plan
The March issue of Texas Town & City, the Texas Municipal League’s monthly magazine, features guidance for cities on Texas’ new flood planning process.
The Texas Water Development Board is finalizing rules for allocating an initial $793 million in new state funding for grants to communities that otherwise could not afford to make flood-related repairs or build mitigation infrastructure. TWDB also is responsible for gearing up a new process for developing regional and statewide flood plans using the model that Texas has successfully used for water planning.
