Bailey Keller Named Southeast Chapter of TAWWA Young Engineer of the Year

Congratulations to Bailey Keller, Water/Wastewater Master Planning, Pearland, who has been named 2024 Young Engineer of the Year by the Southeast Chapter of the Texas American Water Works Association (TAWWA).

Bailey has been involved with the Southeast Chapter of Texas AWWA since 2022. She has served in numerous roles, including Membership chair and currently Young Professionals co-chair. She currently serves as the Secretary. In her roles, she collaborates with professionals in the drinking water industry to network and volunteer in their local community.

The goal of the chapter is to support philanthropic organizations and raise scholarship funding to support future water professionals. In 2024, Bailey assisted with the planning of more than 10 events for the Southeast Chapter.

She currently serves on the 2025 Texas Water Planning Committee and the Corpus Christi Water One Water Summit Planning Committee. Additionally, she served on the AWWA/WEF YP Summit Programming Committee, which was held on Tuesday, Feb. 11, in Dallas, TX.

At Freese and Nichols, Bailey is a Project Manager in the Western Gulf Coast’s Water/Wastewater Master Planning group. Her work revolves around water and wastewater model development and calibration, hydraulic analysis, population and demand/flow projections and CIP development for municipal clients.

She was recognized as Young Engineer of the Year at the Houston Engineers Week event on Monday, Feb. 17.
