Laguna Madre Water District Breaks Ground on Water System Projects
Treatment, Transmission and Utilities employees joined the Laguna Madre Water District on September 29 to celebrate the groundbreaking for its Water Systems Improvements. Charles Kucherka, San Marcos, and Fred Resendez, Brownsville, attended the ceremony with District staff; Fred provided a short presentation on the improvements and expressed Freese and Nichols’ appreciation for being involved in such an important project for the District. The project includes a 5 MGD membrane filtration WTP expansion, elevated storage tank, and pump station improvements; our team provided planning and design services.
Laguna Madre Water District is located at the southmost tip of Texas and serves the communities of South Padre Island, Port Isabel, Long Island Village, Laguna Heights and Laguna Vista.
