Upcoming Deadlines for Texas Water Development Board Funding Opportunities
Funding applications are currently being accepted for three Texas programs: the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF), the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF), and the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT). Each of these funding sources are administered by the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) and provide highly beneficial, lower-than-market interest rate loans for water-related projects. In the case of SRFs, principal forgiveness may be available for sustainable projects and disadvantaged communities.
State Revolving Funds
For the two SRFs, the deadline for submittal of Project Information Forms (PIFs) is Friday, March 4, 2022 (by midnight). These are for the SFY2023 funding cycle.

State Water Implementation Fund for Texas
Deadline for submittal of Abridged Applications is Tuesday, February 1, 2022 (by midnight). This is for the FY2022 funding cycle.

Each program requires a two-step application process with an initial abridged document, then after invitation by the TWDB, a full application. The initial documents are less complicated to complete, while the full application requires extensive coordination with our borrowers, their financial advisory firms, and bond counsels.
